A Blog on Your Marketplace

Articles are one of the best ways to get found on Google and in AI search. Until now you had to build them as separate pages in the visual editor, with no list of posts, no dates and nothing tying an article to the listings it talks about.

Your marketplace now has a real blog. Switch it on in Store Settings → Blog, write a post or let the assistant draft one, and publish. Posts live at /blog on your own domain, each on its own address with its own title, description and social preview, and they are added to your sitemap.

Draft with the assistant

Describe the topic and get a full first draft to edit. It uses the same AI allowance as the visual editor.

Posts that sell

Feature up to twelve listings in a post. They show as “Shop this post” cards, and the post shows up on each listing.

Videos, categories, scheduling

Paste a YouTube or Vimeo link to embed a video. Categories become filter chips, and a future publish date keeps a post hidden until then.

Pro plan and up, in Store Settings → Blog. Add a “Blog” link to your menu under Site Settings → Navigation. Blog docs

Booking Terms on Every Booking

A swimming school needs a liability waiver. An equipment rental needs a rental agreement. The signup form could already ask for terms once, but that was at signup, not when the customer actually booked the lesson or the kayak.

Turn on Require booking terms, give the terms a name (“Liability waiver”), and link to them or paste the text. Every booking form then ends with a required “I agree to the Liability waiver” checkbox, and the customer can't send the request or pay until it is ticked.

Each booking keeps a copy of the terms exactly as the customer accepted them, with the date. You see it in the bookings list, the seller sees it on the booking card, the customer sees it in My Bookings, and the booking emails to both sides mention it. If you edit the terms, a customer who ticked the old version is asked to reload. It covers single bookings, several sessions booked together, free bookings and pay-in-person bookings.

In Store Settings → Booking → Booking terms. Off by default. Booking settings docs

Require Payout Setup Before Listings Go Live

By default a seller can publish and sell before finishing their Stripe payout setup. Their earnings wait and are paid out when they complete it. That keeps the first listing easy, but some marketplaces want to know who is selling before anything is sold.

Turn on Require Payout Setup Before Listings Go Live. Sellers can still sign up and prepare listings. When a seller who hasn't finished the Stripe setup publishes one, it is saved as Waiting for payout setup and goes live on its own the moment Stripe confirms their account. Stripe's setup includes an identity check, so every new listing comes from a seller Stripe has verified.

What happens when a new seller publishes

Setting off
Publishes→Live
Setting on
Publishes→Waiting for payout setup→Stripe verifies→Live
On + listing approval
Publishes→Waiting for payout setup→Stripe verifies→Your review→Live
Good for high-value or regulated goods

And for owners who don't want to hold sales in their own Stripe balance for sellers who never finish the setup. Pair it with an automatic ID Verified badge so buyers see it too.

Nothing live is pulled

Listings already live stay live. Sellers you manage yourself and anything you publish as the owner are exempt. Turning the setting off releases every waiting listing right away.

In Store Settings → Sellers & Buyers. Needs Stripe Connect set up on the Payment tab. Off by default. Sellers docs

Multi-Session Discounts

Customers could already book several sessions of one listing in a single checkout. What coaches and tutors kept asking for was the other half, a lower price per session when someone commits to a block, the way a 10-lesson pack costs less than ten single lessons.

Turn on Multi-session discounts on a listing type, and sellers add their own tiers next to the price, for example 2+ sessions at £185 each and 3+ at £175 each against a regular £199. As the customer adds dates, every session is repriced to the matching tier and the calendar shows what they save.

What the seller sets, what the customer sees

4+ sessions£165 each

Mon 5 Oct, 20:00£199£175
Tue 6 Oct, 20:00£199£175
3 sessions£525

You save £72

Each session stays its own booking

The discounted price is locked into every booking. Approving or declining one session never changes the price of the others.

Works with manual approval and coupons

On stores that approve bookings, the sessions go as one request. The seller approves each one, and the customer pays all approved sessions in one checkout with their coupon applied.

In Store Settings → Listing Form, on a Date + Time Slots listing type with Allow Multiple Date Bookings on. Each seller sets their own tiers. Tiers apply to flat-priced sessions. Listing Form docs

More Improvements

Other things shipped this week.

Improvements This Week
  • Custom offers on items that ship now check out like a normal purchase of that listing at the agreed price, with the delivery charge, the buyer's address and the payout held until the seller ships. The offer card in messages shows the delivery charge up front. Custom Offers docs
  • Store keeps the shipping fee. If your store provides the labels, the buyer still pays your flat rate, the fee stays in your Stripe balance, and seller payouts cover their items only. This is how resale marketplaces like Vinted work. Shipping docs
  • DPD UK labels. Connect your DPD account and sellers get Create label on UK domestic orders, with the tracking number filled in for them. DPD docs
  • The Shipping tab was regrouped into four steps (Basics, What buyers pay, Shipping labels, After the sale) with one Label Printing card and a provider dropdown. Every change saves on its own, and a Save bar sits on top
  • Parcel weights and box sizes can be set in lb, oz and in, as well as kg, g, cm and mm. Switching units converts what you already saved, and US-dollar stores start on lb and in
  • Every money field in the Shipping tab shows your store currency
  • The listings page gets a Card style option (classic, feed or editorial), an image shape and a details line with two of your custom fields, like brand and size. The filters on top are now a real filter bar
  • An optional 7-day view badge on listing cards and the listing page, so buyers see what is popular. Off by default, under Listings page settings
  • Header settings get a ticker speed and a styleable search bar (placeholder, shape and colours)
  • Buyers' My Orders cards are clearer, with a progress line (ordered, shipped, delivered), item photos, a totals breakdown including delivery, and a tracking number you can copy
  • A new Allow Video switch in Image Settings lets you turn off video uploads on listings. Videos already on listings stay
  • Seller Management shows each seller's live and pending listing counts, linking to the Listings tab filtered to them
  • The signup form can now require the seller's shipping address too, so sellers have a ship-from address before their first label
  • Seller Manage Bookings shows Paid, Refunded, Awaiting payment and Rescheduled badges, and reschedule emails name the session and the new time in the subject
  • The translations CSV import preview shows which languages the rows are in
  • In moderation you can search conversations by buyer or seller email
  • Pages load faster. Our servers now run in the same region as the database, cutting a cross-country round trip from every request

Bug Fixes

Bug fixes shipped this week.

Fixes This Week
  • iPhone photos in HEIC/HEIF format are converted to JPEG before upload, so they show in every browser
  • Fixed scroll jumps on the storefront in Safari
  • Minimum Images is now enforced when sellers create a listing, and it no longer blocks sellers from editing older listings that have fewer photos
  • In My Sales, a shipping label stays available after shipping and after a reload, so no second label gets bought by mistake
  • When one seller in a multi-seller cart misses the shipping deadline, only that seller's share is refunded
  • Seller emails and the payout note in My Sales no longer promise payment on shipping when your store holds payouts until the buyer confirms delivery
  • Review and shipping emails were missing from Email Translations when the 'used by your store' filter was on
