Writing a post

1. Title and URL. The address is made from the title (/blog/how-to-repot-a-monstera). You can change it before you publish; changing it afterwards breaks links people already shared.
2. Cover image and excerpt. The image and the one or two sentence excerpt are what the index cards, search results and social previews show.
3. The post. The same editor as listing descriptions: headings, lists, bold, links, tables.
4. Category and author. Optional. Categories become filter chips on the index. The author defaults to the name you set on the Blog tab.
5. Featured listings. Pick up to twelve listings. They appear as "Shop this post" cards under the article, and the post appears on each of those listings under "From the blog".
6. Save draft or Publish. Drafts are yours only. A publish date in the future keeps the post hidden until then.

Drafting with the assistant

Open a new post and click Draft this post with the assistant. Describe the topic in a sentence or two, pick a tone and a length, and it writes a title, excerpt, the article and the search-engine fields in your store's language. Listings you have already picked are mentioned and linked in the text. It never invents prices, policies or numbers; where a figure is needed it leaves a marked placeholder for you to fill in. Each draft counts as one AI prompt on your monthly allowance. Read it through before you publish.

Search engines and sharing

• Every published post is added to your store's sitemap automatically.
• Each post carries an article schema (headline, dates, author, image) and Open Graph tags from the cover image, so links shared on social media show a proper card.
• The Search engine settings section on a post lets you set a shorter title and a description; both default to the post title and excerpt.
• On a private catalog, the article stays public but the featured-listing cards are shown to approved buyers only.

Showing posts on your front page

The Blog Overview section in the page builder has a Source setting (blue cog, top left of the section). Choose Latest blog posts, automatically and the cards fill themselves from your published posts, newest first, with a number-of-posts control. Cards I write here keeps the hand-written cards, now with up and down arrows to reorder them. See the page builder components page.

Blog tab settings

• On / Off. While off, nothing is shown at /blog and you can prepare posts in peace.
• Blog title and intro line. The heading and the sentence under it on the index page.
• Default author name, show author, show reading time. What the cards and posts display.
• Posts per page. The index paginates past this number.
