Log In as Any Seller or Buyer: See Exactly What They See
Sometimes the fastest way to help someone is to look at their screen. Storefront accounts sign in with magic links, so there was never a password a seller could hand you - and walking someone through a setup step over the phone meant guessing at what they were looking at.
Every row in Seller Management and Buyer Management now has a Log in as button. Click it and your storefront opens in a new tab signed in as that user: their dashboard, their listings, their orders, their messages. Fix the thing, end the session, and you are back to your own login.
Seller Management → Log in as
Log in as Ella Vintage?
Your storefront opens in a new tab signed in as this seller. The session is logged and ends after 60 minutes.
Seller dashboard
Every session is recorded in the Support sessions log under Seller Management, and you can tick Notify by email so the user gets a notice when a session starts.
A banner sits at the top of every page while you are logged in as someone else, with an End session button. Sessions expire after 60 minutes on their own.
No password resets, no interrupted sessions on their devices. Checkout, subscription changes and Stripe identity verification stay disabled - those are always theirs to finish.
Why this is smart
- Support in minutes, not email threads. “I can't find where to add shipping” becomes you opening their listing, setting it, and replying “done” - instead of screenshots back and forth.
- Onboard sellers for them. For less technical sellers you can fill in the profile, upload the first listings and set up shipping on their behalf, then hand over the one step only they can do: Stripe identity verification.
- Trust stays intact. The log, the optional email notice and the blocked money actions mean you can offer this openly - “we can hop in and fix it for you” is a support promise, not a liability.
Available to anyone on your team with the Seller & Buyer Management permission, in Store Settings → Sellers & Buyers. Sellers & Buyers docs
Seller Badges: “ID Verified” and Other Trust Labels, Granted Automatically
Every seller who connects payouts goes through Stripe's identity check - but until now buyers had no way of knowing. You can now define seller badges on the Seller Profiles tab: small trust labels shown next to a seller's name on their profile and on every listing they sell.
Give a badge any label you like (“ID Verified”, “Business Verified”, “Top Seller”), pick an icon and a colour, add an optional tooltip, and switch on Grant automatically when Stripe verifies the seller for a buyer-facing verified mark with zero admin work. Badges can also be given and removed by hand per seller under Sellers & Buyers - that is how you surface checks you run yourself, like a business registration you verified through a third party.
Owner defines the badges, buyers see them on profile and listings

Stoneware mug, speckled glaze

The same chips appear under the seller's name in their profile header. Hovering a badge shows its tooltip.
Start from a template
ID Verified (blue shield, auto-grant already on) and Top Seller (amber star, manual) are one click away, or add your own from blank. Up to ten badges per marketplace.
Tell sellers how to earn it
Add an optional “how to earn it” text and sellers who don't have the badge yet see it under Badges you can earn in their dashboard settings. Leave it empty to keep a badge unadvertised.
Backfill existing sellers
Switching on automatic granting offers to give the badge to every seller Stripe has already verified, so your current sellers get their mark right away.
In Store Settings → Seller Profiles; assign badges per seller under Sellers & Buyers. Seller badges docs
Readable Listing URLs: Just the Title, No Suffix
Listing URLs have been based on the title for a while, and search engines were always pointed at the right page: the canonical tag and sitemap used the readable URL before this change and still do. What changed is the URL itself. It used to carry a timestamp suffix to guarantee uniqueness - /listings/handmade-ceramic-mug-1723456789. Now it is just /listings/handmade-ceramic-mug, and a short suffix (-2, -3) is only added when another listing in your marketplace already uses the same one.
Sellers can edit the URL in a new Listing URL field under the title while the listing is a draft. Once published it is fixed for sellers, so links that were shared or indexed keep working - and editing the title later does not change it. As the marketplace owner you can always rename it from the listing's edit page; the old URL redirects to the new one.
Same listing, new address
Seller → Edit listing (draft)
Editable until the listing is published.
Nothing breaks
Existing listings keep their current URL, older links and ID-based links keep resolving, and the canonical tag and sitemap point at the readable URL exactly as they did before - no duplicate content, no lost rankings.
Better for search
The URL is one of the signals search engines read. Two to six descriptive words (“vintage-leather-satchel”) beat a full sentence. Lowercase letters, numbers and dashes only.

More Improvements
Other things shipped this week.
- Offer-only listing types. A per-type toggle that hides Buy now and Add to cart: the listing price becomes a starting point, the buyer messages the seller, and the seller sends a custom offer in the conversation that the buyer pays through the platform. Built for made-to-order, commission and quote-based work. Offer-only guide
- Five new built-in storefront languages: Italian, German, Spanish, Norwegian (Bokmål) and Swedish - 11 languages in total, on every plan
- New Also Re-approve Edited Listings toggle under Require Listing Approval: switch it off and only brand-new listings need your approval, while edits to already-approved listings go live immediately
- Booking listings with a fixed event date can now take booking requests without the calendar - buyers skip the date questions and the request is seeded from the event date
- Featured Listings section: choose Listing Selection (newest first or a random sample), show up to 30 listings in up to 6 columns; Featured Sellers gets 12/16/24/All options
- Launch checklist auto-detects steps you have already completed from your store data, and new stores are generated with personalized nav and footer, listing types, theme colour, logo mark, a sample seller and a sample order or booking - all in the language of your description
- Managed sellers: a Connect Stripe link action on self-registered sellers, so you can send the payout-onboarding link from the same place
Bug Fixes
Bug fixes shipped this week.
- Sellers with per-listing overage enabled can now create listings at zero token balance - both the create form and the 'Can post' badge honour the overage, and the overage notice uses your store's currency formatting
- The dashboard Overview KPI row shows real sales, listings, sellers and buyers in your store currency
- Seller payout status now distinguishes 'pending verification' and 'past due' from an actual Stripe rejection
- Fixed-price listings on rental-template stores now get Buy now instead of Request Booking
- The listing-type live preview in store settings renders in your store language
