Trusted Sellers Skip Listing Review
Require Listing Approval is all or nothing. Switch it on and every listing from every seller waits for you, including the twentieth listing from a dealer you have known for years. Switch it off and a seller who joined an hour ago publishes straight to your front page.
Now a seller badge can carry the trust. Open a badge on the Seller Profiles tab and switch on Listings from sellers with this badge skip review. New listings and edits from anyone holding that badge go live at once, while everyone else still lands in your queue. Pair it with the ID Verified badge and sellers who pass Stripe's identity check publish freely. Keep it on a badge you hand out yourself and you decide seller by seller.

The rule is not retroactive. Giving a seller the badge leaves anything already waiting in the queue where it is, and taking the badge away leaves their live listings live. Their next publish or edit follows the new rule. Under Require Listing Approval you can see which badges currently skip review. Every plan. Listing approval docs
Private Documents on a Listing
Some marketplaces need proof before a listing goes up. A vet certificate for a horse, a logbook for a car, a licence for a service, an insurance certificate for a rental. Until now that meant an email thread next to the listing, with the file never attached to the thing it proves.
Custom fields have a new type, File upload, under Listing Form → Fields Configuration. The seller attaches one PDF, JPG or PNG of up to 25 MB to the listing. The file is private by default. Only you, your team and the seller can open it, and it never appears on the listing page, in cards, filters, exports or translations. Tick Required and the seller cannot submit the listing without one.

In your Seller Listings tab a paperclip shows how many documents a listing carries, and one click opens the file. An amber Missing badge marks listings whose type asks for a required document that is not there. If you want buyers to see a document too, switch on Seller may show the document to customers on the field. The seller then gets a checkbox per listing, and a shared file appears under Documents on the listing page as a download. Admin-only works as on other fields, so only you can attach the file. Every plan. File upload field docs
Buyers and Sellers Can Report Listings and Block Each Other
When a listing looked wrong, the only way to tell you was an email, if the buyer could find your address. And a seller who kept receiving unwanted messages had no way to make them stop.
Turn on Let users report listings and users at the top of the Moderation tab. Every signed-in buyer and seller gets a quiet Report this listing link on listing pages, Report this seller on seller profiles, and Report this user in the menu of a message thread. A report asks for a reason from your list and optional details, and lands in the new Reports queue with an email to you. From the queue you can unpublish the listing, suspend the seller, ban the buyer or dismiss the report. Nothing happens to anyone until you act.
A buyer reports, you decide
Tell the marketplace team what is wrong. They review every report.

A second switch, Let users block each other in messages, adds Block this user to the thread menu. Once blocked, neither side can message the other until the person who blocked lifts it. You can still read every conversation under Message Moderation. Resolved reports keep what you decided and when, and can be reopened. For marketplaces with UK users this is also the easy reporting route the Online Safety Act expects. Both switches are off by default. Every plan. Reports docs
More Improvements
Other things shipped this week.
- Issue Refund catches up with a refund made in the Stripe Dashboard. If you refunded a charge in Stripe first, the Issue Refund button now refunds only what is still missing, nothing after a full refund, and then updates the order, the seller payout and the emails as if you had refunded from Prometora. No double charge back to the buyer.
- More of your own texts follow the visitor's language. Subscription plan names, descriptions and badges, plus the newsletter label and terms text on the sign-up page, are now part of Content Translations
- The image-with-text section has an optional caption under the photo, for a photographer credit or a short note
- Messages work better on phones. Enter adds a new line on touch devices and the send button sends, while desktop shows a Shift+Enter hint. Tapping a conversation opens the thread instead of the listing, and the archive button is visible without hover
- Web addresses for listings, blog posts and seller profiles handle letters like ø, æ, å, ß and ł. "Smørrebrød" becomes smoerrebroed instead of sm-rrebr-d. Existing addresses stay as they are
- Listing pages send Google richer product data, including the brand, the seller, shipping details and reviews, and the new Returns setting under Shipping → After the sale adds your return policy. Returns docs
Bug Fixes
Bug fixes shipped this week.
- Continue with Facebook and Google now completes on Android phones, in Chrome, Samsung Internet and a marketplace installed on the home screen, instead of opening the Facebook app's news feed or leaving the button spinning
- A cancelled Facebook or Google sign-in says it was cancelled, and a failed one lands back on your marketplace's own sign-in page with the reason
- Re-saving a listing that is waiting for approval no longer takes it out of the approval queue
- You are emailed when a listing enters the approval queue, not again on every edit of a listing that is already waiting, and the email subject is in your store language
- Banned, suspended and deleted users are signed out right away instead of keeping their session
- Deleted accounts no longer show under Buyers, and Log in as says the account was deleted instead of User not found
- On a marketplace installed on the home screen, the floating back button no longer covers the paperclip in Messages, and it sits above the buy bar on listing pages
- The Connect Stripe banner in the dashboard stacks on phones and uses your store colour
