Seller Subscription Plans

Turn your sellers into a recurring revenue stream. As the marketplace owner, you now build your own subscription plans and your sellers pick one from their dashboard to keep listing on your platform.

You decide the prices, the listing quotas, the commission rates, and what each plan unlocks. Three plan models are supported out of the box:

  • Flat access (e.g. $29/mo, unlimited listings)
  • Quota-based (e.g. $9/mo for 10 listings, metered via tokens)
  • Free ($0 with a small monthly quota that auto-renews via a daily cron, so a free seller doesn't have to do anything to keep going)

Sellers manage their own billing through Stripe's Customer Portal (update card, download invoices, cancel) so you don't become their support desk.

On your side, you get an owner-facing subscriber list with status filters, plan + tokens used, and a TEST badge for test-mode subs. Per-seller commission overrides win over plan rates, so VIP carve-outs still work.

Past-due sellers stay listed during Stripe's Smart Retries window (~4 days). Their dashboard surfaces an Update billing CTA that drops them straight into the portal. Seller-facing UI is translated into all 6 supported languages.

Business + ScaleAvailable on the Business and Scale tiers. Find it under Store Settings → Subscriptions.

Watch the Subscriptions walkthrough (~3 min) for the full owner-side setup, from creating a plan to handing it to your sellers.

Setup is three steps: connect regular Stripe API keys, paste the webhook signing secret, and activate the Customer Portal in your Stripe dashboard. The Subscriptions tab walks you through each one with a numbered stepper.

Edit Any Seller (Including Custom Fields) From the Table

The Seller Detail modal is now fully editable. Click any seller name in Sellers & Buyers, Managed Sellers → Self-Registered, or Managed Sellers → Owner-Managed and a modal opens with every field on the seller record ready to update inline.

The big unlock here is custom fields are editable too, including admin-only and approval-gated ones. Before this shipped, a self-registered seller who landed in your pending queue couldn't actually be approved unless you had re-entered them through the create-new-managed-seller form. Now you open the modal, fill in the approval-gated fields you own (Section B Packaging Readiness, Approved for Pilot, internal score, whatever you set up), save, and the seller goes live.

Per-type inputs throughout: text, number, date, tree-select, rich text, icon picker, multi-line text. Soft-deleted custom fields are skipped automatically so old values don't leak back in. Only the fields you actually change get sent over the wire, so you can edit one row in a long list without worrying about clobbering the rest.

Green-bordered rows are admin-only and approval-gated. Sellers never see them. You do.

Available on Pro, Business, and Scale tiers (anywhere Managed Sellers ships). The same modal powers the Sellers & Buyers tab, so the edit flow is consistent across both surfaces.

More Improvements

Other things shipped this week alongside Subscriptions.

Improvements This Week
  • Sellers can pause the multi-step signup partway through and pick it up later from any device via a 14-day email link. Handy for stores that capture custom fields at signup
  • Cancel + resend pending team invitations from Store Settings -> Team (no more chasing Prometora support to recall a typo'd invite)
  • Payment tab restructured around Stripe Connect setup. Clearer step-by-step, fewer dead ends

Bug Fixes

Bug fixes shipped this week.

Fixes This Week
  • Re-uploading a seller image now cleans up the previous S3 object instead of leaving it orphaned
  • Dashboard numbers no longer look misleading for real users (the original layout was tuned around the metrics-video demo store)
  • Admin metrics: trials excluded from churn rate and trial funnel for honest conversion numbers
  • Mobile bar-chart tap-to-show on the 12-month projection so labels are readable on small screens
  • Admin New Subscribers count fixed
